"It is hard for me to put into words just how grateful I am to have had a mentor like Professor Fellinger throughout my time at Elizabethtown College. Inside and outside the classroom, his guidance and support shaped me into the writer and professional I am today. His classes pushed me to become my most creative self, and his passion for his profession is unparalleled. From my first college writing class to my final days as an undergraduate, I was lucky to have someone as passionate, kindhearted, and genuine as Professor Fellinger."

“Through his work at the Writing Wing, Professor Fellinger has served as a system of support for countless students, including many non-native English speakers. He is always available for help, even after hours. Whether a student has a question about formatting, is looking for a phrasing suggestion, or just wants to talk, I know that Professor Fellinger would be there. He is a friendly face on campus who will wave to students and ask how they are feeling. He strives to help students write clearly, confidently, and succinctly. For me personally, he helped me grow not only as a writer, but also as a person. He gave me the opportunity to serve as one of the head writing tutors as well as a business writing tutor. This position enabled me to expand my resume, challenge myself, meet new people (students and professors alike), and learn about professional writing.
I look forward to maintaining my relationship with Professor Fellinger in the years to come and I know that whenever I may need him, he is just a phone call away.”

"Professor Fellinger's short story class gave me the tools I needed to be able to appreciate the great world of short stories. The stories he chose and the lessons we discussed stretched further than the confines of the class -- there was always a takeaway for everyone, regardless of their place in life. Professor Fellinger came into class every day energized and excited in only a way that a teacher who truly embodies his craft can, and left me with a curiosity and understanding for not only the short story, but all forms of literature, that will stay with me forever."

“Professor Fellinger taught us the true nature of literary fiction. The human element is what brings short stories to life and allows readers to deeply connect to them. Taking his class helped me to grow as a writer in general but also unlocked a joy in writing short stories I didn’t even know I had. It’s something that I have continued to do after graduating, and I hope to continue for many years.”
